Jihachul: Korean Subway App

If you are trying to look for an app for the subway, then I definitely recommend this app. This app saved me during my trip to Seoul and what’s best about this app is that you dont need wifi to use it! 😀

So how to use the app?

1) Click the down arrow button first.

2) After clicking the arrow, click Search next.

3) From there, you can type in the space the name of the station that you want to go to. In this example, assume that I want to go from Itaewon to Myeongdong. Just type “Itaewon” then click the check button.

After clicking, there would be an arrow pointing at Itaewon. Click the “Depart from” button.

Repeat steps 1-3 for Myeongdong. But this time, click the “Arrive at” button.

After clicking the “Arrive at” button, this should show in your screen. The play blue button means that this is your starting station and the stop orange button is your destination. The blue circles means those are the stations that you should pass through while the orange circle at “Samgakji” means you need to make a transfer at this station. The transfer here is from a line brown station to a blue line station so when you stop at Samgakji station look for signs pointing to a blue line 🙂

At the top, you can see how long the duration of the travel is and the estimated amount using T-money 🙂

If you click the “Transit info” it would look like this:

And that is how you use the Jihachul Korean Subway App 🙂
